● TOURO PARK (.5mi) is a small park located on Bellevue Avenue that offers winding walkways, plenty of grassy lawn space, and the Newport Tower, the remains of a historic windmill built in the mid-17th century.

● BATTERY PARK (.6 mi) is a small, waterfront park that overlooks the Newport Bridge and is a perfect spot for your pup to enjoy the outdoors.

● King Park (1.3 mi) offers a spacious grassy area overlooking Newport Harbor that’s perfect for letting some energy out. While you’re there, head over to the small onsite beach where they’re sure to love running along the sandy shoreline.

● FORT ADAMS STATE PARK (3.5 mi) is home to the largest coastal fortification in the country and the Fort Adams Bay Walk, offering panoramic views of Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. It’s also the spot where some of Newport’s most iconic festivals started and continue to take place, including Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival.

● Brenton Point State Park (5 mi) offers one of the most commanding views on the East Coast. The park is located at the point where Narragansett Bay meets the Atlantic, midway along renowned Ocean Drive. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, hiking, fishing, or just relaxing with the salt breeze and views of the Atlantic Ocean crashing along the shore.
